Lacey was nothing short of amazing during the whole home buying process! She was recommended to us by our mortgage broker, and she did not disappoint. I emailed her to ask if she could assist us in searching for houses, and within a few days we looked at a property. She always came prepared to each showing and was able to answer all questions appropriately. If she was unsure of something, she figured it out and let us know as soon as possible. When we found our dream home, she continued to help us in any way possible and always kept the line of communication open. We really appreciate all of her help, and would recommend her to anyone looking to buy a house!

Lacey was great to work with. She was knowledgeable and didn't take advantage of my inexperience with real estate. She didn't make promises and not deliver. Lacey kept me informed throughout the process and was willing to answer any questions that I had at any time.

The story began this way :)! I was introduced to Lacey Swanson, my realtor through the Teacher Next Door program in May of 2024. She is a very young realtor and has high liaison skills. I had a set time frame in finding a home to purchase, as my lease was ending soon. Lacey understood my criterion and set a search for me. My lender thro' Teacher Next Door program had a couple of limitations to my home purchase though they were providing me with a partial or 1/4th of the loan amount. It was a bit challenging to find a home that I liked and also satisfying the terms (no or low HOA & very low property taxes) set by my mortgage lender/loan officer from Truvlending company. After several tries, I was able to convince the loan officer from Truvlending to let me find a home I liked. Since I am paying a very significant amount of the home price, he agreed. Lacey worked on placing offers on the properties I liked but got rejected a few times. I increased my budget to find decent homes, since offers were rejected. Lacey followed the terms and kept the loan officer and their team informed of the offers we were placing. Truvlending loan officer always had something that wasn't working from his end to go ahead with the property. In between, my apartment lease had to get renewed, adding two more months of rent payment before I move out. I found a property that was a bit over my budget and let Lacey arrange a showing for me and she did. I was willing to place an offer. I had plenty of questions to ask and Lacey answered them to the best of her knowledge, as I did with every property. Lacey placed the offer and it got accepted! Then began the challenges with my lender. My Loan officer made a mistake or something with my preapproval, so he was unable to give me the promised loan amount. I was worried. Lacey consistently gave a listening ear. She tried to speak to Truvlending company to find out why the loan amount changed and had less luck with it. I was suggested to shop around for lenders by one of the managers from Truvlending after paying the deposit for the property and locking the purchase price. Only 23 days for closing, it was very disappointing to start the process again to find a lender but I tried. Lacey connected me with her inhouse lender. I contacted Teacher Next Door program and they connected me to one other lender. I was thankful, but the Teacher Next Door lender couldn't help, but Lacey's inhouse lender was willing to approve my loan. I decided to miss it, as I found another loan broker who came my way. Blessedly, I got my loan approved with a competitive interest rate from Loan Garden. All went well after I had my partial loan arranged. I have purchased the property! It wasn't easy initially and Lacey is well aware of it. Once I left the Truvlending contacts, home purchase activities moved smoothly. Lacey was on vacation a couple of times during this process and she still managed to respond to my emails/phone calls etc. A 'big' thank you to Lacey for everything. She has become a good friend, certainly! I won't forget my experience I had purchasing my property with Lacey. I only wish it didn't have Truvlending in the picture :), everything would have been so smooth. Lacey is a cool person. It was really nice working with Lacey. I will recommend her to my friends.
